Offorjebe, Bergold Win For Princeton at Larry Ellis Invitational

Both Agatha Offorjebe and Liz Bergold were winners on the track Saturday afternoon as the Tiger women's track team hosted the 2007 Larry Ellis Invitational at Weaver Track & Field Stadium.
Bergold earned a close win in the 800 meters Saturday, finishing the two laps on the Weaver Track in a time of 2:12.12 to outdistance a runner from Georgetown. Offorjebe was a big winner in the 100 meters, running a 12.31, the best time Saturday by more than two-tenths of a second.
In the field events, Princeton had several top finishes. Jess Kloss and three other competitors tied for top honors in the pole vault, clearing 11 feet, 5 3/4 inches, while Emma Giunipero was second in the discus with a throw of 135 feet, 4 inches.
Emma Harper's hammer throw of 156 feet, 10 inches was good for fourth place in that event Saturday.
The Tigers had both the 3rd and 4th place finishers in the 400-meter hurdles, with Mawusi Arnett finishing third in 1:04.18 and Christine Brozynski just behind in fourth in a time of 1:04.70.
