Senior day: Princeton's three seniors will be finishing their careers Tuesday when Stephanie Steel, Calli Jo Varner and Betsy Allaway play their final games in Princeton uniforms.
They're well acquainted: Princeton and Rider have met 49 times since first getting together in Princeton's second varsity season of 1983. Including games already played this year, Princeton has met only two teams as many or more times, with the Penn-Princeton series being played 51 times and the Harvard-Princeton series 49 times.
Make that 17: Princeton has won at least 20 games in every season since 1991. In every season where Princeton has played at least 20, the Tigers have won at least 20 in every year except for 1983 and 1990.
Year-long chase ahead: Junior Kristen Schaus has fanned 171 batters this season, bringing her career total to 632. Schaus has one full season to chase down the Princeton record set in 2006 by Erin Snyder with 819 career Ks.
Going, going, gone: Princeton has hit 29 home runs this year and has the chance to make it 30 home runs in four of the last five seasons. Five of the last six years have been the top five single-season home run totals in program history.
Tigers on the pond: Kathryn Welch leads the team with 37 RBIs this year, the most since Melissa Finley '05 had 44 RBIs in 2003.
Princeton at the plate: The three Tigers that are over .300 are bunched up well above that standard, with Brianna Moreno hitting .344 (52 for 151), Erin Miller hitting .342 (26 for 76) and Kathryn Welch hitting .341 (47 of 138). As a team, Princeton is hitting .251.
Princeton in the circle: Junior Kristen Schaus and rookie Jamie Lettire have thrown 259 2/3 of the team's 337 2/3 innings, with senior Calli Jo Varner adding 76 frames. Schaus is 11-14 with a 3.13 ERA and Lettire 8-7 with a 3.77 ERA.
Rider at the plate: Tiffany Day-Neutill leads the Broncs with a .419 average, getting 52 hits in 124 at-bats while knocking four of the team's nine home runs. As a team, Rider is hitting .259 with Day-Neutill as the only starter above .300.
Rider in the circle: The Broncs' two top pitchers are Jessica Holland (3-12, 4.67) and Lauren Brunner (3-13, 5.35), who have thrown 187 2/3 of the team's 243 innings this year. As a team, Rider has a 5.76 ERA.
