Princeton Grad Cristina Cobb-Adams Joins Softball Staff

Cristina Cobb-Adams, a 2006 Princeton graduate and two-time All-Ivy honoree, has been tabbed by new head coach Trina Salcido as the program's second assistant coach.
“It's great to have an alumni of the program working with our current student-athletes,” Salcido said. “Cristina was a tremendous leader and player during her career as a Tiger. Her work ethic and knowledge of the game contributed to her success as a player and are what make her a valuable asset to this program's future.”
Cobb-Adams, an outstanding shortstop, earned honorable mention from the Ivy League in 2003 and 2005, helping lead the Tigers to NCAA tournament in those two seasons as well as her senior campaign of 2006.
“I am very excited to be a part of Princeton softball again and to work with such a great staff,” Cobb-Adams said. “I am confident that I will be able to help continue Princeton's winning tradition. I had a great experience as a player and am looking forward to another one as a coach.”
While playing in and starting all but one of Princeton's 201 games during her career, Cobb-Adams logged 627 at-bats, the fourth most in program history. Cobb-Adams finished with 161 hits, 32 doubles, five triples and 69 RBIs while compiling a .257 career batting average.
A native of Dublin, Calif., Cobb-Adams earned her Princeton degree as a geoscience major.
