Aboff, Women's Golf Continue Successful Start at Nittany Lion Invitational

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- A week after winning their annual home tournament, Susannah Aboff and the Princeton women's golf team are poised to claim another dual victory, this time at the Nittany Lion Invitational. After two rounds Sunday, both Aboff and the Tigers lead with one round to play Monday.
Princeton leads the 14-team invitational by 13 shots over Maryland and 17 host Penn State. Western Michigan, James Madison, Ball State, Xavier, William and Mary, Ohio, Boston College, Bucknell, Bowling Green, Rutgers and Monmouth round out the field.
On the individual leaderboard, Aboff posted a first-round 71 for the second straight week and shot a 74 later in the day to stand at +1 and lead the field by three shots over Western Michigan's Laura Bavaird. Kate Scarpetta is in a third-place tie at +7 with a 75 and 76, while Marlowe Boukis is in an eighth-place tie at +10 with a 79 and 75. Annika Welander rounds out Princeton's scorers in a 13th-place tie at +12 with a 79 and 77, and Michelle Grilli was Princeton's fifth, tying for 19th at +14 with a 77 and 81.
