Men's Soccer Looks to Extend Unbeaten Streak Over Columbia

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/17/08) ? The Princeton men's soccer team gets back into Ivy League play on Saturday, Oct. 18 when they travel to New York City to take on Columbia at 7 p.m.

Columbia holds a 30-18-8 advantage in the all-time series, but Princeton has had the upper hand as of late, with a five-game unbeaten streak dating back to 2003. Last season the Tigers took a 2-0 game at home.
Princeton sports a 3-8-1 record, and a 0-1-1 Ivy League mark. The Tigers most recently defeated Rutgers, 3-0, in a midweek game on Wednesday. Sophomore Brandon Busch leads the team with 11 points, off of four goals and three assists. Freshman Antoine Hoppenot has seven points, five of which came during the Rutgers game. Sophomores Josh Walburn, Teddy Schneider and senior Devin Muntz have five points apiece. Senior Joe Walter and sophomore Sean Lynch have split playing time in goal. Walter has a 2-4-1 record, with a 1.11 goals against average and a .771 save percentage. Lynch owns a 1-4 record, a 1.79 GAA and a .640 save percentage.
Columbia enters the weekend with a 3-7-1 overall record and a 1-1 Ivy League record. The Lions are coming off of a big win over Penn from last weekend, and lost an overtime game to Adelphi earlier in the week. Bayo Adafin is Columbia's crutch at forward. He has scored five goals, two of where have been game winners. Felipe Castrillon and Scott Strickland both have a goal and an assist. Goalkeeper Alex Aurrichio has started in all but one game this season. He has a 1.32 GAA and an .805 save percentage.
