Men's Soccer Begins Ivy League Schedule Hosting Dartmouth

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/2/08) ? The Princeton University men's soccer team begins Ivy League on Saturday, Oct. 4 when it hosts Dartmouth College at 4 p.m. During halftime Princeton will hold a ceremony to dedicate Roberts Stadium.

Princeton leads the all-time series with Dartmouth, 36-18-6. The teams have been even as of late, with the last five games sitting at 2-2-1. Last season the Big Green posted a 1-0 win in Hanover.
The Tigers enter the game with a 2-6 record and are coming off of a 1-0 loss to No. 16-ranked Loyola, one of three teams Princeton has played that was in the national poll. Sophomore Brandon Busch paces the Tigers with six points off of two goals and two assists. Classmate Teddy Schnieder has scored two goals, while defender Ben Burton and junior captain Devin Muntz have three points apiece. Senior Joe Walter has started the last two games in net for the Tigers. He has a 1-4 record with a 1.40 goals against average and a .720 save percentage. Sophomore Sean Lynch has also seen significant playing time, and has a 1-2 mark, with a 1.33 GAA and a .692 save percentage.
Dartmouth has spent two weeks in the national poll, getting as high as No. 18. The team is currently receiving votes in the poll. The Big Green has played two nationally-ranked squads, and split them, taking a 4-0 game from Indiana in early September. Dartmouth has not been able to win a game on the road this season, with an 0-2 away record. Leading the Big Green offense is rookie Lucky Mkosana with four goals, three of which were game winners, and one assist for nine points. Sophomore Bryan Giudicelli has seven points, while senior Craig Henderson and sophomore Andrew Olsen have each collected five points. Senior Sean Milligan is the only goalkeeper Dartmouth has utilized this season. He has three shutouts, a 0.71 GAA and an .833 save percentage.
