This Week's Storylines
On the Road
Princeton plays the second and third of five consecutive games away from home this weekend at Rensselaer and Union. Princeton started the stretch with a win Tuesday at Quinnipiac.
Last Time Out
Princeton picked up a 2-0 win on Tuesday at Quinnipiac at junior goaltender Zane Kalemba made a career high 37 saves for his first shutout of the season. Sophomore Sam Sabky had two assists in the win.

Princeton vs. Rensselaer
The Engineers lead the all-time series with Princeton 60-26-9 and hold a 35-13-5 edge in games played in Troy. The teams split last season's game with each team winning in the other team's building.
Recent History
Princeton and RPI split the season series last year. The Engineers took the first meeting 4-3 in Princeton in November, while the Tigers skated to a 4-0 win at RPI in February. Junior Cam MacIntyre had a goal and an assist in the loss, while classmate Dan Bartlett had a goal and an assist in the win.
Scouting the Engineers
Rensselaer is 2-6-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the ECAC this season. The Engineers split their games last weekend, defeating Harvard 3-2 and falling to Dartmouth 5-2. The Engineers also have a win over Robert Morris on their schedule.
Princeton vs. Union
Princeton holds a 19-16-4 series edge against Union, but trails 10-5-3 in games played in Schenectady. The teams have played in four straight 4-3 games with each team taking two.
Recent History
Each team claimed a win last season on its home ice by a 4-3 score. In November in Princeton, seniors Brett Wilson and Lee Jubinville each had three points as the Tigers raced out to a 4-1 lead and then held on for the win. The game at Union was similar at the Dutchmen led 4-0 with 10 minutes remaining and the Tigers scored three goals with the goalie pulled in a 4-3 loss.
Scouting the Dutchmen
Union is 4-2-1 overall and 1-1 in league play following a loss to Dartmouth and a win over Harvard last weekend. The Dutchmen also have non-league wins over Quinnipiac, Connecticut and Colgate this season and have tied Rensselaer.
Non-League Schedule
Princeton is 1-0 in non-league play although the win came over Brown, a league opponent. The Tigers have a similar game scheduled against Quinnipiac on Dec. 3. Princeton could also face Rensselaer in non-league play in their tournament in November. Princeton will face Northeastern, Nebraska-Omaha, Minnesota State and Robert Morris as well.

In the Polls
Princeton's weekend split dropped the Tigers three spots in the latest USCHO.com Poll. Princeton is now ranked 12th in the poll and remains the highest ECAC team in the rankings. Princeton is ranked 11th in the USA Today Poll. Princeton has been ranked as high as ninth this season. The only other time Princeton has been ranked in the Top 10 came during the 1998-99 season. Princeton's highest-ever ranking is eighth.
Against Ranked Teams
Princeton is 0-1 against ranked teams with its loss to Cornell. The Tigers next ranked opponent will be No. 7 Northeastern, which it will face on Nov. 28 at the RPI Tournament.
Trending Up
Princeton has increased upon its win total in each of the past five seasons. After a three-win season in 2002-03, the Tigers won five games in 2003-04, eight games in 2004-05, 10 games in 2005-06, 15 games in 2006-07 and 21 games a season ago.

Princeton had four defensemen with double-digit point totals last season. Princeton last accomplished that in the 1994-95 season. Sophomore Matt Godlewski scored the first goal this season for a Princeton defenseman in Tuesday's win.
Overtime
Princeton's trip to overtime against Colgate was its first trip to an extra session in the last 40 games dating back to the 2006-07 season. Princeton's last overtime game was on March 3, 2007, a 2-1 win over Brown at home in the ECAC first-round playoffs.

Princeton is 9-9 all-time in 1-0 games. Princeton has dropped its last three games by that score and last won a 1-0 game on Dec. 20, 1980 at Minnesota-Duluth.

Individual Notes
Leading Scorer
Princeton returns senior Lee Jubinville, its leading scorer from a season ago. Jubinville posted 39 points to lead the team and the league and was the Ivy and ECAC Player of the Year and a first-team All-America. He was also Princeton's first-ever candidate for the Hobey Baker Award. Jubinville has two points this season including an assist against Colgate.
Leading Career Point Getter
Despite Jubinville's season, classmate Brett Wilson still holds the scoring lead among active Tigers with 79 points. He has scored 34 goals and 45 assists and has a one-point edge on Jubinville in the rankings. He was a second-team All-ECAC selection last year. Wilson scored Princeton's first goal in its wins at Brown and against Colgate.
One or Less
Junior goaltender Zane Kalemba, the Most Outstanding Player at last year's ECAC Tournament, has allowed a single goal or less in each of his four starts this season. Kalemba has a 0.75 goals-against average and a .969 save percentage. Tuesday's shutout was the sixth of his career.
Something Against Quinnipiac
Three of sophomore Matt Godlewski's six career points and both of his goals have come against Quinnipiac. His goal on Tuesday night was his first in a 27-game span dating back to Nov. 24, 2007 when he scored in a win at Quinnipiac.
Something Against Colgate
Six of sophomore Kevin Lory's 13 points, and four of his five career goals have come against Colgate. Lohry scored the overtime game winner on Saturday afternoon.
Two More
Sophomore Sam Sabky had the primary assists on both of Princeton's goals at Quinnipiac and now has a pair of two-assist performances to his credit in four games played. He is currently Princeton's leading scorer.
