Magnowski Named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week

Princeton junior forward Mark Magnowski was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week following a three-point performance in the team's season opener on Friday night at Brown. Magnowski had two goals and an assist in the win.
Magnowski had two goals and an assist in Princeton's win. With the game tied at one goal apiece in the second period, Magnowski scored to put Princeton ahead midway through the second period on the power play. He then picked up an assist on Princeton's third goal and sealed the game with a second goal in the final period. A day later, he added two assists in Princeton's 8-2 exhibition win over the Ontario Institute of Technology.
The Player of the Week Award was the second of Magnowski's career as his three points matched a career high. He also received the honor last season following a three-point performance against Nebraska-Omaha.
Magnowski and his Princeton teammates open their home schedule this Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. against Cornell in a game that will air live on ESPNU.
