November 03, 2008 | Men's Basketball, Men's Ice Hockey
Tickets for the 2008-09 Princeton men's basketball and men's hockey season are on sale now at the Princeton ticket office. Tickets can be purchased in person, by calling (609) 258-4TIX or online at GoPrincetonTigers.com by clicking here.
For the first time in more than 20 years, the Princeton men's basketball team will play more games at home at Jadwin Gymnasium than it does on the road as the Tigers have 14 home contests scheduled. The schedule will feature a pair of games televised live on ESPNU. Those games are against UNC Greensboro on Jan. 3 and Penn on Feb. 17. Princeton also hosts non-league games against Central Michigan, Maine, South Carolina and Rutgers, among others, in addition to its seven home Ivy League contests.
This season, Princeton's Friday night home games will be played at 7 p.m., with Saturday's league home games moved up an hour to 6 p.m.
"Scheduling our evening tip-offs for 7 p.m. and 6 p.m. on our Ivy League weekends is a welcome change to our schedule," says Princeton basketball coach Sydney Johnson. "Our fan base extends across campus and throughout the Princeton community. With that in mind, we have decided to make our game times earlier to accommodate those who support us.”
Advanced ticket prices are $10 for adults and $6 for children (14 and under). Bring your groups of 20 or more to the game for $5 per ticket. Tickets for the Penn and Rutgers games are $12 for adults and $6 for children. Tickets on the day of the game are $12 for all tickets and $15 for the Penn and Rutgers games.
The 2008-09 Princeton men's hockey schedule will feature 15 home dates as the Tigers look to defend the ECAC and Ivy League Championships they captured a season ago.
Princeton plays host to its 11 ECAC Hockey games, which features games against Ivy rivals Cornell, Harvard, Dartmouth, Brown and Yale, as well as perennial powers Clarkson, Colgate and St. Lawrence. The Tigers will also host non-league games against Minnesota State, Nebraska-Omaha and Robert Morris.
The schedule features several afternoon contests throughout the season, including three games on Saturday's at 4 p.m., and one on a Sunday at 4 p.m. Princeton also plays five midweek games, beginning with a game the night before Thanksgiving against Quinnipiac.
Individual tickets are prices at $10 for adults and $6 for children (14 and under) when purchased in advance. Bring your groups of 20 or more to the game for $5 per ticket. All tickets cost $10 on game days.
