Princeton to Play Penn in Final Home Game of the Season

PRINCETON, N.J. (11/7/08) ? The Princeton University men's soccer team will play its last game at Roberts Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 8, when it hosts Penn at 1 p.m.
The Quakers are tied at the top of the Ivy League standings, with Harvard, with a 4-1 mark. The Tigers sit fifth with a 2-2-1 record.

Penn leads the all-time series, by a slim 47-40-9 margin. Princeton won last year's meeting by a 1-0 score.
Princeton sports a 5-9-1 overall record, and has gone 3-2 in its last five games. Most recently, the Tigers recorded a 3-0 shutout over Cornell on the road. At the top of the scoring column is sophomore Brandon Busch with five goals and three assists for 13 points. Freshman Antoine Hoppenot and sophomore Josh Walburn each have seven points, tallying three goals and one assist apiece. Sophomore Teddy Schneider has corralled six points, and junior Devin Muntz has five points, all coming via assists, a team-best. Senior Joe Walter has a 4-5-1 record in net, with three shutouts. He has a 0.98 goals against average and a .778 save percentage. Sophomore Sean Lynch has seen fewer games, with a 1-4 record, a 1.79 GAA and a .640 save percentage.
This won't be the first time Penn will play at Roberts Stadium. The Quakers won two games here in early September during the Princeton Invitational. Overall the team enters the weekend with a 10-2-3 record and is ranked No. 21 in the latest NSCAA/adidas poll. Leading the team in points is Omid Shokoufandeh with nine goals, five of which have been game winners, and three assists for 21 points. Andrew Ferry has tallied five goals and added four assists for 14 points, and Kevin Unger has captured 10 points on four goals and two helpers. Alex Grendi leads the team in assist, with five and has two goals for nine points. Drew Healy is the only goalkeeper Penn has utilized this season. With a 10-2-3 record, Healy has nine shutouts for a stingy 0.69 GAA and an .823 save percentage.
