Two Tigers Earn Bronze at Latest North American Cup Fencing Event

PRINCETON -- Susannah Scanlan and Alexander Mills had standout finishes at the last
North American Cup fencing event, held over the weekend in Colorado
Springs, Colo.
Both Princeton freshmen placed third in their respective weapons, with Mills competing in a field of 116 fellow men's foilists and Scanlan as one of 87 women's epeeists. Six Tigers in all competed in the event, with sophomore Graham Wicas placing 19th and freshman Cooper Gegan 125th of 196 men's epeeists, Sophomore John Stogin 52nd of 80 men's sabreists and freshman Lucille Jarry 19th of 75 women's foilists.
The event earns points toward representing the United States in international competition. The next North American Cup event will take place Jan. 16-19 in Louisville, Ky.
