Kristin Arguedas Named Ivy League Softball Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON -- The Ivy League office has honored Princeton third baseman Kristin Arguedas as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for softball after Arguedas hit .417 in five games at Sacramento State's Capital Classic last weekend.
Arguedas was 5 for 12 at the plate, going 2 for 3 with two RBIs against Colorado state and 2 for 2 with an RBI against No. 8/11 Oklahoma. Arguedas was also errorless in 13 chances in the field.
Arguedas is the first Ivy weekly honoree for the Tigers in the league's second week of honors this season. Princeton went 1-4 in Sacramento with Arguedas' performance helping secure Princeton's 6-4 win over Colorado State. The Tigers are 3-9 on the season and have eight games in the last five days of their spring trip in Northern California.
