Women's Golf Stands Fourth One Round into Shamrock Intercollegiate

FORT MILL, S.C. -- Michelle Grilli's 5-over 77 led the Princeton women's golf team Friday in the first round of the Shamrock Intercollegiate at Tega Cay Golf Club outside Charlotte, N.C.
Princeton stands in a fourth-place tie with two rounds to play, 10 shots back of leader Charleston Southern in the 14-team field. Grilli's 77 is six shots back of the individual lead, as Winthrop's Jutta Degerman posted the only red round of the day with a 1-under 71.
Grilli is tied for ninth while Susannah Aboff is tied for 11th at +6 with a 78. Kate Scarpetta is one shot back with a 7-over 79, tied for 15th, while Marlowe Boukis turned in an 82 to stand in a 28th-plaace tie and Maggie Boberg rounded out the Princeton contingent with her 90, standing tied for 59th.
The 14 teams will play a round each Saturday and Sunday.
