Aboff Leads Women's Golfers' Climb at Shamrock Intercollegiate

FORT MILL, S.C. -- Susannah Aboff fired a tournament-low 69 to take the individual lead and guide the Princeton women's golf team to second place, one shot off the lead, with one round to play at the Shamrock Intercollegiate outside Charlotte, N.C.
Aboff, at +3 on the tournament, cut nine shots off her Friday score and overtook Winthrop's Jutta Degerman, who had the previous low round of 71. Aboff leads Degerman by three shots.
Princeton moved from a fourth-place tie after Friday's round to within one shot of overall leader Charleston Southern. Michelle Grilli (77-76) is in a tie for fourth at +9, while Kate Scarpetta (79-80) is tied for 17th at +15 and Marlowe Boukis (82-78) is tied for 22nd at +16 to round out Princeton's top four. Maggie Boberg (90-81) is tied for 48th at +27. Rachel Blum, a Tiger competing individually, is at +24 after an 87 Friday and 81 Saturday.
Sunday's round will begin at 8:30 a.m.
