March 30, 2008 | Women's Golf
PRINCETON -- The Princeton women's golf team will compete in its third tournament of the spring Monday and Tuesday when it travels to the Hoya Invitational, hosted by Georgetown at The Members Club at Four Streams in Potomac, Md.
Princeton will be one of four Ivies in the 14-team field along with Columbia, Penn and Yale. Boston College, Lehigh, Nova Southeastern, Rollins College, Rutgers, St. John's, Sacred Heart, Siena, Wagner and host Georgetown are the other teams involved. The Four Streams course measures 6,082 yards and is a par-72 for the two-round event.
Princeton won the Hoya Invitational last year in a 13-team field as Susannah Aboff claimed the individual title. Aboff has continued her winning ways of late, taking the Shamrock Intercollegiate title last weekend outside Charlotte, N.C. with Princeton finished second of 14 squads. The Tigers will have one more tournament, hosted by Columbia, before the Ivy League Championships later in April.
