Jubinville Named Ivy Men's Hockey Player of the Year

The Ivy League Champion Princeton men's hockey team placed four members on All-Ivy teams including unanimous first-team selections Lee Jubinville and Mike Moore. Jubinville was also named the Ivy League's Player of the Year.
Junior forward Lee Jubinville was named the Player of the Year in a vote by League head coaches. Jubinville, who helped lead the team to a 17-12 overall record and the highest ECAC Hockey regular-season finish (14-8) in school history. He recorded 31 points in 22 ECAC games, averaging an impressive 1.41 points per game. In Ivy play, Jubinville averaged 1.70 points per game. An honorable All-Ivy selection last season, Jubinville finished the season atop the Ivy League in scoring and total assists and was named unanimously to the first-team.
Jubinville is Princeton's second Ivy League Player of the Year in men's hockey. The only other winner, John Messuri, took home top honors in 1989. Jubinville becomes the seventh Princetonian this season to win Ivy League Player of the Year honors. The others are Paige Schmidt (field hockey), Diana Matheson (women's soccer), Parker Henritze (women's volleyball), Liz Costello (women's cross country), Michael Maag (men's cross country) and Alecia Aemisegger (women's swimming).
Along with Jubinville, senior defenseman Mike Moore was also named to the first-team unanimously. He was tied for the ECAC Hockey lead in goals scored by a defender and his 16 points total was second in overall scoring among defensemen.
Princeton did not have a first-team All-Ivy selection last season. Princeton's last first-team selection came in the 2005-06 season when Eric Leroux was selected as the goaltender. Princeton's last first-team defenseman was Luc Paquin in 2004-05 and its last first-team forward was Kirk Lamb in 1999-00.
Junior forward Brett Wilson and sophomore goaltender Zane Kalemba were named to the league's second-team. Wilson ranked second in Ivy League games in overall scoring with 13 points. He also is second on Princeton in scoring with 30 points. His 13 goals lead the team.
Kalemba was named the second-team goaltender following an Ivy season in which he went 9-1. He ranked second in Ivy goals against with a 1.61 average and had a .929 save percentage.
