CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Princeton softball team's three-day tournament at the University of North Carolina has been shortened to two thanks to rain in the Friday forecast.

The team's Saturday schedule will remain the same, with Princeton facing North Carolina at 3 p.m. and James Madison at 5:30, while the Friday slate has been changed from bracket play to scheduled games. Princeton will meet South Carolina-Upstate at 9 a.m. and Lafayette at 11:30 a.m. before heading back north.

The Tigers are 1-3 after a season-opening tournament at George Mason last weekend and will embark on their annual spring trip next Thursday, heading to Sacramento and Palo Alto, Calif.
