Tigers Win At Rutgers, 5-2

Three players won in both singles and doubles action to lead the Princeton women's tennis team to a 5-2 victory over Rutgers Friday evening in Piscataway. Melissa Saiontz, Sarah Hoffman and Rebecca Parks were all double winners.
Saiontz and Hoffman beat Katherine Arlak and Caitlin Baker 8-3 to help Princeton win the doubles point. In singles, Saiontz won 6-2, 6-4 over Katrina Elder-Bush at No. 1, while Hoffman played Baker at No. 5 singles and won by the same score.
Parks played No. 1 doubles for Princeton with classmate Taylor Marable, and they beat Polina Zaretser and Amy Zhang 8-5*. At No. 4 singles, Parks had a 6-3, 6-2 win over Arlak.
Kelly Stewart also had an impressive singles win for Princeton at No. 6, losing just two games in a win over Christine Tran.
The Tigers, who improved to 6-5 in the spring season, will play two matches in Puerto Rico beginning next Saturday against North Carolina.
