Women's Golf Finishes 10th in Strong Field at Texas A&M Tournament

BRYAN, Texas -- The Princeton women's golf team finished 10th in a strong field at the Texas A&M "Mo-Morial," which wrapped up Sunday after three rounds.
Michigan State won the tournament by nine shots over Denver with Tulsa, Texas A&M, Kent State, Northwestern, Iowa State, Mississippi, Texas Christian and Princeton rounding out the top 10. Baylor, Missouri, Nebraska, Southern Methodist and Texas-El Paso completed the field.
Princeton's Susannah Aboff improved her scoring each day with an 84, 79 and 75 on the par-72 Traditions Club course to finish tied for 12th at +22 as the top Tiger. Only two red rounds were posted overall, both by Michigan State players who finished first and second. The Spartans' Sara Brown won at +5, eight shots ahead of teammate Aimee Neff. Brown posted a 70 in round two and Neff a 69 in the final round.
Sophomore Michelle Grilli tied for 14th at +23 with am 80, 78 and 81 as freshman Kate Scarpetta (T-56th, +42, 86, 88, 84), junior Marlowe Boukis (T-63, +46, 91, 83, 88) and freshman Rachel Blum (80th, +70, 91, 96, 99) completed Princeton's field.
The Tigers will compete again Mar. 21-23 at the Shamrock Intercollegiate at Fort Mill, S.C.
