Women's Tennis Defeats Columbia 6-1, Wins Third Straight

The Princeton women's tennis team won six sets in singles by scores of 6-0 on the way to a 6-1 victory over Columbia in an Ivy League match played Friday afternoon at the Lenz Tennis Center. The win was Princeton's third straight.
The 71st-ranked Tigers (11-8, 4-2 Ivy), playing their final home match of the season, clinched the match when senior Ivana King, playing her final home match, defeated Nina Suda 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. King's win was her team-leading 12th this spring.
Freshman Sarah Hoffman didn't lose a game in a straight-set win at No. 5 singles, while Melissa Saiontz, Taylor Marable and Kelly Stewart each won one set by a 6-0* score. Marable improved to a perfect 6-0* at the No. 3 singles spot during Ivy League play.
The Tigers clinched the doubles point when King and Sarah Huah defeated Stephanie Zilberman and Lauren Shearer 8-2 at the No. 2 spot.
Princeton will conclude its season Sunday afternoon at Cornell.
