Women's Tennis Falls At Yale, 5-2

Yale was strong in the bottom half of the singles lineup and won a close doubles point in a 5-2 win over Princeton in a women's tennis match played Saturday afternoon in Connecticut.
The Tigers got a win at No. 3 doubles by a 9-7 score by Sarah Hoffman and Melissa Saiontz, but Yale won a close 8-6 match at No. 2 to take the doubles point. Princeton got singles wins from Ivana King and Taylor Marable, but the Bulldogs won the Nos. 4-6 singles matches to clinch the overall match.
Marable was outstanding in a 6-3, 6-1* win over Lindsay Clark at No. 3 singles. King was taken to a third set at No. 2 by Jessica Rhee but dominated the final set in a 6-0 victory.
Princeton (8-8, 1-2 Ivy) will host Dartmouth and Harvard next weekend at the Lenz Tennis Center.
