April 09, 2008 | Women's Golf
PRINCETON -- In their last tune-up for the Ivy League Championships, the Princeton women's golf team will compete in Columbia's Roar-EE Invitational at Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., Friday and Saturday.
Princeton is one of five Ivies in the 14-team field along with Brown, Harvard, Yale and host Columbia. The other teams are BYU, Georgetown, Hofstra, Lehigh, Rutgers, Siena, St. John's, Towson and Wofford. The teams will play 36 holes Friday and 18 Saturday. Hampshire Country Club's course is a par-71 and will measure 5,833 yards for the tournament.
The Tigers have been highly successful of late, winning Georgetown's Hoya Invitational less than two weeks ago and finishing second in the Shamrock Intercollegiate in South Carolina little more than a week before that. Junior Susannah Aboff won both individual titles.
The Ivy League Championship will take place April 18-20 at Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield, N.J.
