Women's Golf to Host Princeton Invitational This Weekend, Men's Team to Play at Bethpage

PRINCETON -- Women's golf will host the 12th annual Princeton Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Springdale Golf Club, while the men's team will visit Bethpage State Park in New York.
This year's event will feature 16 teams, including Albany, Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Lehigh, Morehead State, Penn State, Princeton, Rollins, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, St. John's, Siena and Wagner. Princeton has won the tournament eight times, including the last five years, while finishing second at the other three tournaments.
The teams will play 18 holes each day on Springdale's par-72 course, which measures 6,108 yards for the event.
Saturday's tee times are as follows:
1st Hole
8-8:36 a.m.: Morehead State, Siena, Brown
8:45-9:21 a.m.: Harvard, Columbia, Georgetown
9:30-10:06 a.m.: Penn State, Rollins, Princeton
10:15 a.m.: Individuals from Albany, Dartmouth and Morehead State
10th Hole
8-8:36 a.m.: Sacred Heart, Lehigh, St. John's
8:45-9:21 a.m.: Dartmouth, Wagner, Rutgers
9:30-10:06 a.m.: Albany, Individuals from Penn State, Georgetown, Dartmouth, Princeton, Columbia and St. John's
Sunday's tee times will be in the same time frame and will depend on standing after play Saturday.
The men's team will take part Friday and Saturday in the McLaughlin Invitational on the Red Course at Bethpage State Park. The same park is home to the Black Course, host site of the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Open Championships. The Tigers finished seventh of 18 schools at last year's event, which measured 6,695 yards on a par-70 course. Jake Skinner, Juan Pablo Candela and Max Schechter, all returners this year, tied as the top Princeton finishers at +8, 36th overall.
Joining Princeton and host St. John's in this year's McLaughlin will be Arkansas State, Creightton, Drexel, George Mason, Harvard, Iona, Jacksonville State, Johnson & Wales, Longwood, Sacred Heart, Southeast Louisiana, St. Thomas Aquinas, Temple, Towson and Villanova.
