Men's Soccer Takes on Two Top-Ranked Teams at Chicago Classic

PRINCETON, N.J. (9/18/09) ? The Princeton University men's soccer team hits the road for the first time this season to face two nationally-ranked squads at the Chicago Classic this weekend.
First up for the Tigers is No. 11 University of Illinois at Chicago on Friday, Sept. 19. The teams will face off at UIC at 7 p.m., central time. On Sunday, Princeton takes on No. 9-ranked Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., at 12 p.m., central time. Both games will feature live stats available free of charge, with links provided on the Princeton men's soccer schedule page.
Princeton and UIC will be meeting for the first time, while Princeton and Northwestern are meeting for the second time. The only meeting came in 2005 and resulted in a 1-1 draw.
Princeton is 1-2 this season, and is coming off of a 3-1 win over Seton Hall. Sophomores Teddy Schneider and Brandon Busch are at the top of the scoring column with four points each, with Schneider tallying two goals and Busch scoring one and chipping in two helpers. Three other Tigers have two points. Senior Joe Walter has played two games in net and sports a 2.00 goals against average and a .667 save percentage. Sophomore Sean Lynch has slightly better numbers with a 1.00 GAA and a .667 save percentage having seen action in one game this season.
UIC is 4-0-1 on the season and ranked No. 11 in the NSCAA/adidas poll. Junior Baggio Husidic is the team's leading scorer with four goals and two assists for 10 points, while sophomore Charlie Trout is on his heels with nine points and has a team-high three assists. Sophomore Kevin Stoll has collected six points, and senior Alen Husidic has five. Junior Jovan Bubonja is the Flames' starting keeper. He sports a 1.17 GAA and a .727 save percentage with a 4-0-1 record.
Northwestern is also undefeated this season, with a 5-0-1 record, and have allowed just one goal this season. The No. 9-ranked Huskies are led on offense by sophomore Matt Ellason, who has scored six of the squad's 13 goals. Junior defender Mark Blades has net three goals for six points. Junior Misha Rosenthal is the only keeper Northwestern has utilized. He owns a 0.16 GAA, allowing just one goal in six games. With five shutouts, Rosenthal has a .923 save percentage. The Huskies tend to come on strong late in the game, scoring 10 of their goals in the second half.
