Princeton is 14-5 through 19 games played and sits third in the ECAC hockey standings at 8-4 with 16 points. The Tigers are currently ranked ninth nationally.
A Look at the Standings
The Tigers are third in the ECAC standings, four points behind first-place Cornell and one behind second-place Yale. Princeton has a one-point buffer on fourth-place Dartmouth and two points on Quinnipiac in fifth.
Back to Winning Ways

Balanced Attack
Princeton has gotten contributions from all lines this season as 19 skaters have contributed at least a point and 10 Tigers have reached double digits in points with another two within a point of 10. Brett Wilson leads the team with 15 points, two ahead of a second-place tie between Jody Pederson and Mark Magnowski. Seven others?Taylor Fedun, Lee Jubinville, Sam Sabky, Dan Bartlett, Kevin Lohry, Matt Godlewski and Brandan Kushniruk?have recorded 10 or 11 points.
Put the Puck on Net
Princeton and Yale both subscribe to the philosophy as the pair is tied for first in the country in shots per game as each team has taken a total of 728 shots in 19 games played for a 38.32 average. Princeton had 46 shots in Monday's win over Robert Morris, which was the 10th time this season the Tigers have taken 40 or more shots in a game.
Disciplined
The Tigers are the least penalized team in the nation, averaging 9.6 minutes of penalties per game. Princeton is averaging more than a minute less per game than any other team. Princeton is the only team in the nation with less that 200 penalty minutes at this point of the season.
Home and Away
Princeton is 7-4 this season at home, 6-0 on the road and 1-1 at neutral sites. Princeton plays six of its final 10 regular season games away from home.
All Types of Rankings

Princeton is also ranked in the top ten in the objective computer ranking formulas used. Princeton is tied for eighth in Pairwise, ninth and RPI and ninth in the KRACH.
Stingy Defense
The Princeton defense returned to its stingy ways on Monday, limited Robert Morris to one goal on 22 shots, allowing a goal or less for the 12th time this season. Princeton remains among the top five in the nation in team defense, ranking fourth in goals against at 1.89 goals per game. Cornell (1.42), Alaska (1.50) and Notre Dame (1.56) rank ahead of the Tigers.
Fit to Be Untied
Princeton is one of four teams in the country that have not played to a tie yet this season, joining Michigan, Bemidji State and UMass-Lowell. Princeton went without a tie last season as well and has not tied a game since Feb. 2, 2007 at Brown, a span of 66 games.
