Scanlan Places Third at Junior World Cup in Hungary

PRINCETON -- Susannah Scanlan was the top finisher among four Princeton fencers who traveled to Hungary for the Junior World Cup last weekend.
Scanlan placed third of 153 epee fencers from 23 countries, including most of Europe as well as the U.S. and Canada. Teammate and fellow freshman Lucille Jarry placed 60th of 100 foilists, and epeeists Cooper Gegan and Graham Wicas placed 49th and 60th, respectively, on the men's side of their weapon.
Princeton will resume intercollegiate competition Jan. 25 following the finals break when it hosts a multi-team dual meet in Jadwin Gym.
