Milestone achieved: Saturday's win at Brown was the 200th career NCAA victory for head coach Julie Shackford between 158 at Princeton (1995-present) and 42 at Carnegie Mellon (1991-95). Shackford is the 33rd current Division I coach to win 200 games at any NCAA level and the sixth current Princeton coach, across all sports, to win 200 games. Shackford is already the winningest soccer coach in Princeton history, men's or women's.
Whatley's a winner: Lauren Whatley has won the last two games for Princeton with the team's only goals of the week, beating another Patriot League team, American, in the last minute of the first half and Brown in the third minute of overtime for the team's first Ivy League win of the season.
Shutout: Princeton goalkeeper Alyssa Pont and the Tiger defenders have shut out their opponents four times this season, all in the last six games.
Spread the offense: Princeton's 11 goals this season have come from nine players, with Whatley and Jen Hoy scoring two apiece.
Series with Lehigh: Princeton began playing Lehigh in its first varsity season of 1980 in a series that continued through last year. The Tigers have won all 14 times, allowing only one goal in the series, in 1994. The last two games in the series have been 1-0 finals, including last year's meeting at Roberts Stadium. Kalie Bartholomew scored in the 14th minute and the Tiger defense kept the shutout going.
On Lehigh: The Mountain Hawks have outscored their opponents 18-8 this season with senior Natalie Hojnacki scoring a team-best four goals. Lauren Mains (0.63 GAA, .867 sv%) has been in net for every minute.
Down it goes: Princeton goalkeeper Alyssa Pont has lowered her goals-against average in each of the last two games thanks to back-to-back shutouts, carrying a 1.05 GAA and a .776 save percentage that has increased in each of the last four games.
Up next: Princeton will be home for its only home Ivy game in a stretch of four long trips when it hosts Columbia Saturday at 1 p.m.
