ITA Northeast Regional at Yale Ahead for Women's Tennis

PRINCETON -- Seven Princeton women's tennis players will head to New Haven, Conn., for the ITA Northeast Regional this weekend, held at Yale beginning Friday and concluding next Tuesday.
Princeton will have six players in the 96-person main draw, a seven-round event. Blakely Ashley, Hilary Bartlett, Monica Chow, Taylor Marable, Melissa Saiontz and Rachel Saiontz are scheduled to compete, with Ashley getting into the main draw as a fill-in for another player who withdrew. Ashley had been the top seed in the qualifying draw, in effect a first alternate in the event one of the 96 spots came open.
The draws for the main singles event and for the 64-team doubles tournament, both of which will begin Saturday, will be posted Friday at the tournament site with an update to follow here at GoPrincetonTigers.com. Bartlett, Chow, Sarah Hoffman, Marable and Melissa and Rachel Saiontz are Princeton's scheduled competitors in doubles play.
