PRINCETON (10/19/09) - Sophomore Antoine Hoppenot of the Princeton men's soccer team has been named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week presented by Princeton Army ROTC for the week ending on Oct 25.
Antoine Hoppenot was named the Ivy League Player of the Week and to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week after a six-point week as Princeton went 2-0.On Tuesday against Colgate, Hoppenot got the Tigers on the scoreboard with a goal in the 40th minute in a one-on-one situation.
On Saturday, Hoppenot scored both of Princeton's goals as the team delivered a 2-1 loss to No. 11 Harvard, its first league loss of the season and Princeton's first win over a ranked opponent this season.
