Bartlett Falls Short in ITA All-America Prequalifier Final

LOS ANGELES -- Battling for a spot in the qualifying draw at the ITA All-America event in Los Angeles Sunday, Princeton sophomore Hilary Bartlett came up one win short.
Bartlett fell 6-3, 6-2 to Danielle Lao of USC in the third-round match of the prequalifying draw with the winner continuing on to the qualifying bracket. Saturday, Bartlett had won two matches, including knocking off a seeded opponent, to advance to this point.
The singles tournament may be over for Bartlett, but she will team with Taylor Marable in the qualifying doubles draw beginning Tuesday at 9 a.m. Pacific Time at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
