Men's Soccer Hosts Adelphi in A Mid-Week Game on Wednesday

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/5/09) - The Princeton men's soccer team hosts Adelphi in a mid-week game on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m.
The game will be webstreamed on GoPrincetonTigers.tv and live stats will also be available.
The Tigers lead the all-time series which began in 1995, 8-2. The teams split the last two meetings, with Princeton taking a 4-3 game in 2007 and Adelphi winning 2-1 last season.
Princeton is looking to end a four-game losing streak, after starting the season 4-0. The Tigers have played just two games at Roberts Stadium this season, during the Princeton Invitational. Junior Josh Walburn has scored six of Princeton's 12 goals to sit atop the scoring column with 12 points. Freshman Matt Sanner and sophomore Antoine Hoppenot have four points apiece, while juniors Teddy Schneider and Benjamin Burton each have two. Sean Lynch has played every minute in goal and has a 1.34 goals against average and a .711 save percentage with two shutouts.
Adelphi is 7-1-2 overall and is on a six-game tear, most recently defeating Manhattan, 3-0 on Saturday. The team is averaging 1.80 goals per game and is holding opponents to 0.70 goals per game. Issa Tall leads the team in scoring with seven goals and one assist for 15 points. John Koutsounadis, Michael Aquino and Alex Kouznetsov have each scored two goals and have six, five and four points, respectively. Thorne Holder has played the majority of minutes in goal and has a 0.45 GAA and an .893 save percentage with a 5-0-1 record with four shutouts. Backing him up is Kyle Blackmer with a 1.16 GAA and an .800 save percentage.
