Katie Reinprecht, Chris Ayres And Steve Verbit Join Latest TigerCast
November 12, 2009 | Field Hockey, Football, Wrestling
Katie Reinprecht (field hockey), Chris Ayres (wrestling) and Steve Verbit (football) join the Nov. 12 edition of TigerCast.
Reinprecht is an All-America midfielder who is looking to lead the field hockey team to the NCAA championship weekend for the first time since 2001. Princeton earned the No. 4 seed and will begin the NCAA tournament Saturday at 11:30 a.m. against Stanford; the winning team will play either Syracuse or Boston College Sunday at 2 p.m. at Class of 1952 Stadium. Reinprecht looks back at a season filled with top-ranked opponents and several exciting wins she hopes will bolster the team through a challenging postseason weekend.
Ayres is in his fourth year as the head coach of Princeton wrestling, and he is in the process of rebuilding the program. Princeton won a pair of team matches last season, their first since 2006, and now could start a handful of highly-touted freshmen for the upcoming season. Ayres gives his view of the progress and looks at both the youth and experience within his program.
Verbit is in his 26th season at Princeton, and he is well versed in the Princeton-Yale rivalry. The football defensive coordinator talks about the rivalry, as well as the Yale offense, and gives his thoughts on the up-and-down season for the Tiger defense.
