Tennis Teams to Compete in ECAC Championships This Weekend

PRINCETON -- Princeton tennis will travel to a pair of Ivy League foes to compete in the ECAC Championships this weekend. The men will compete at Harvard while the women will compete at Dartmouth.
Ten teams are involved in the men's championships, which will begin Friday with the finals set for Monday. Each school will be guaranteed at least two matches. Princeton will open Friday at 9 a.m. as the No. 7 seed against No. 10 Boston College, with the winner continuing on to face No. 2 Columbia at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The loser of that first match will meet the St. John's-Dartmouth loser Saturday afternoon for its final match of the tournament. The 10 teams in the men's bracket are the eight Ivy League schools in addition to St. John's and Boston College.
Seven teams, all Ivies minus Penn, will compete in the women's bracket. Princeton, the No. 2 seed behind Yale, will compete against Columbia at 9 a.m. Friday. The winner will meet the Brown/Cornell winner Saturday morning while the loser of the Princeton/Columbia match will meet the Brown/Columbia loser Saturday afternoon.
