HANOVER, N.H. -- It came down to a tiebreaker for the Princeton women's tennis team in the ECAC Championship final against Yale, the defending Ivy League champion, and the Bulldogs prevailed.
Princeton picked up three-set wins from Lauren McHale and Rachel Saiontz at first and fourth singles and a straight-set win from Blakely Ashley at fifth, but those were Princeton's only points. Yale took a pair of 8-6 wins in first and third doubles to claim that point while also winning at third and sixth singles in straigth sets.
The match-tipping battle was at second singles, where Yale's Jessica Rhee prevailed in a third-set tiebreak to win the clinching fourth point.
