Tough Competition Ahead for Women's Tennis vs. Indiana, Duke
February 05, 2009 | Women's Tennis
PRINCETON -- For the second straight weekend, the Princeton women's tennis team will face competition high up on the ITA's team rankings.
Last weekend, Princeton competed in the ITA National Team Indoor tournament at No. 4 Baylor in which the Bears swept the first-round meeting. Princeton then pulled out a 5-2 win over No. 61 Iowa in a consolation match.
This weekend, the Tigers will travel to Duke for a pair of matches, first against No. 30 Indiana at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and then against No. 9 Duke at noon Sunday.
Princeton has a 3-1 record in dual meets so far during the spring season with home wins over Temple and Rutgers to go with last weekend's ITA event results.
