MORAGA, Calif. -- Winners of seven of their last eight matches, the Princeton women's tennis team claimed the first of two opponents on the California leg of their spring trip, defeating Saint Mary's 5-2 Sunday afternoon.
An 8-3 win by Hilary Bartlett and Taylor Marable at first doubles clinched the match's opening point for the Tigers. Princeton then won four of the next five singles matches to finish, clinching the team match along the way. Bartlett, Melissa Saiontz, Rachel Saiontz and Lauren McHale delivered singles wins for the Tigers.
Princeton, ranked 39th in the latest ITA team poll, will take on No. 11 Stanford at noon Pacific Time Tuesday.
