March 07, 2009 | Men's Tennis
PRINCETON -- Beginning a three-match weekend, the Princeton men's tennis team slipped past Furman with a 4-3 win Saturday afternoon in Jadwin Gym.
The Tigers (5-3) will have a doubleheader tomorrow on the indoor courts against Binghamton at noon and Stony Brook at 4 p.m.
Peter Capkovic and Alex Vuckovic helped to account for three of the four points between them, winning at first and third singles respectively and combining for a win at first doubles. George Carpeni and Yohei Shoji got the second needed win at third doubles, and Charlie Brosens helped to seal the victory with a win at fifth singles.
A win Sunday would give the Tigers their first five- or six-match win streak since 2005.
