April 06, 2009 | Women's Golf
PRINCETON -- Princeton's women's golf team will play in the Canes/Cardinal Classic at Don Shula's Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, Fla., Monday and Tuesday in its second tournament of the spring.
The Tigers will have two more tournaments after this, following it with the Roar-EE Invitational hosted by Columbia north of New York City next week, preceding the Ivy League Championship near Atlantic City later this month.
Joining Princeton and the host Hurricanes in South Florida will be Akron, Boise State, Cincinnati, Maryland, Middle Tennessee State, Penn State, San Jose State, Texas State and Texas Tech. The playing course is a par-72 measuring 6,223 yards. Both days will start at 8:30 with two rounds Monday and one Tuesday.
Last week outside Washington, D.C., Kate Scarpetta led the Tigers to a second-place finish in the 15-team Georgetown Hoya Invitational.
