Tennis Teams to Meet Harvard, Dartmouth in Pivotal Ivy Weekend

PRINCETON -- Princeton's men's and women's tennis teams will face Harvard and Dartmouth Friday and Saturday in a weekend that will go a long way in deciding how the Ivy League final standings shape up.
The women's team stands at 2-1 in the Ivy League, 14-7 overall, and will meet Harvard in a 2 p.m. match Friday and Dartmouth in a noon match Saturday in New England. The Tigers are ranked 46th in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association national Division I rankings, one of three Ivy League teams ranked in the ITA top 75. Yale is at #44 and Brown checks in at #60.
Harvard presently leads the women's standings at 2-0, with Princeton, Brown, Yale and Cornell at 2-1. Dartmouth is also within one match at 1-1, while Columbia and Penn round it out at 0-3.
On the men's side, Princeton will host Harvard Friday and Dartmouth Saturday with both matches starting at 2 p.m. The matches are scheduled to be played outside at the Lenz Tennis Center but will be moved indoors to Jadwin Gym in the event of inclement weather.
The men's team, at 1-2 in the Ivy and 9-8 overall, will be looking to stay in the Ivy League race with victories this weekend. Columbia has pulled out to a 3-0 lead, while Yale and Brown are 2-0. Harvard checks in at 1-1, with Cornell and Princeton next at 1-2, Dartmouth at 0-2 and Penn at 0-3.
