COLLEGE STATION, Texas --? The Princeton doubles team of Hilary Bartlett and Taylor Marable lost to Mississipi's Karen Nijssen and Kristi Boxx in the first round of the?NCAA doubles tournament Thursday afternoon?at Texas A&M.?
Marable and Bartlett stretched the match to a third set before losing 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 in the 32-team bracket for which the duo had qualified by being in the top 60 of the ITA rankings as well as the top-ranked doubles team in the Ivy League. The loss ended the season for the Princeton tennis team after an Ivy League championship campaign, the program's first since 2000.
