Wrestling Update: Top 10, Presidential Nominee And Twitter

As members of the Princeton wrestling team head home for the summer and begin the offseason preparations for an important 2009-10 season, the program itself has several updates.
Once again, Princeton has earned Top-10 honors on the NWCA All-Academic team rankings. The 2008-09 team placed ninth overall, continuing its impressive run of high finishes in the team academic standings. Princeton has been in the Top 10 in all three years under head coach Chris Ayres.
Two-time wrestling letterwinner and former 15-term Republican Congressman Jim Leach '64 is President Barack Obama's nominee to chair the National Endowment for the Humanities. Leach, a Princeton wrestling letterwinner in 1963 and 1964 under former head coach Jimmy Reed, earned his A.B. in political science with honors from Princeton in 1964.
