Muntz Named a Lowe's Senior CLASS Candidate

PRINCETON, N.J. (8/26/09) - Devin Muntz of the Princeton men's soccer team has been named a candidate for the 2009 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award it was announced by the organization on Wednesday, August 26. He is one of 30 men's soccer players selected as a candidate.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence - classroom, character, community and competition.
A two-year solo captain, Muntz has been named to the All-Ivy League teams all three years. He was named second-team All-Ivy League in 2006 and 2008 and was named All-Ivy Honorable Mention in 2007. A starter since his freshman year when he tallied 11 points, Muntz has made 49 career starts and collected 21 points.
Lowe's, an official Corporate Partner of the NCAA, will announce the Senior CLASS Award winner during the 2009 NCAA Men's College Cup championship in early December. The 30 candidates will be narrowed to 10 finalists midway through the regular season, and those 10 names will be placed on the official ballot. Ballots will be distributed through a nationwide voting system to media, coaches and fans, who will select the one candidate who best exemplify excellence in the four C's of classroom, character, community and compeition.
