PRINCETON -- Men's and women's tennis will begin fall play Friday with the men hosting the Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational and the women traveling to a Georgia Tech-hosted event in Atlanta.
Both events are individually scored, not team-scored contests. The men's home event will have several flights of singles and doubles, with back draws, and will include players from nine schools: Binghamton, Buffalo, Columbia, Cornell, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, St. John's and Yale. Play will begin Friday with winners decided Sunday. Location of play, between Jadwin Gym's indoor courts and the Lenz Tennis Center outdoors, will be determined by weather.
A year ago, Princeton's Alex Faust was the winner of the "B" singles draw.
On the women's side, Princeton will be joining players from Georgia, Georgia Tech and Miami, where the Tigers' new head coach Megan Bradley was an assistant last season, for singles and doubles play over three days.
