EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 2 Northwestern held its home court against the No. 45 Princeton women's tennis team Sunday afternoon, defeating the Tigers 4-0 in the second round of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend event.
The Wildcats (3-0) picked up two wins at first and second doubles to claim one point, following up with wins at first, fifth and sixth singles to clinch the team match.
Princeton advanced to the Northwestern match with a win Saturday over 50th-ranked Denver. The Tigers (3-1) will have next weekend away from competition before taking part in the ECAC Championships in Boston in two weeks.
