Yegya-Raman Wins Twice on Final Day at Columbia

NEW YORK -- Ravi Yegya-Raman won twice Sunday at the Columbia Invitational, teaming with Coleman Crutchfield to win the "B" doubles flight and following it up with a "B" flight consolation singles win in that draw's final match.
Yegya-Raman gave up only one game in his consolation singles final, defeating Sam Gelb of Columbia 6-1, 6-0. He and Crutchfield defeated Dom Hemy and Yuri Gricheno of Fairleigh Dickinson 9-7 in the doubles final.
Crutchfield also advanced to his singles draw's consolation final, losing the "A" flight's consolation match by a close margin, 7-5, 7-6(3) to Mike Lampa of St. John's.
The Tigers will play in their last fall tournament Oct. 14-19 at the ITA Regional hosted by Yale.
