Men's Tennis to Begin Play Friday at ITA Regional

PRINCETON -- Seven Tigers will make the trip to New Haven, Conn., to play in the ITA Northeast Regional hosted by Yale, which will run through Oct. 19 and will cap the fall schedule for the Princeton men's tennis team.
Singles qualifying will take place Thursday and will decide opponents for two Tigers in the singles main draw, Augie Bloom and Alex Faust. Those two will begin singles play Friday, along with Dan Richardson, who faces Chris Ujkic of Sacred Heart in the first round of the seven-round tournament. Matija Pecotic, Matt Spindler and Matt Siow all received byes into the second round and will begin play Saturday.
All three Tiger doubles teams will begin play Friday in that six-round draw. Bloom and Spindler will face Chris Post and Elliot Fanshel of St. Bonaventure while Pecotic and Siow will take on Ruslan Goussiatnikov and Phil Bernasek of Colgate, and Faust and Yohei Shoji will meet Wojciech Starakiewicz and George Tibil of Buffalo.

Thursday 10/14: Singles qualifying begins at 8 a.m. (No Princeton players included)
Friday 10/15: First round of doubles begins at 8 a.m., followed by first round of singles.
Saturday 10/16: Second round of doubles begins at 8 a.m., followed by second and third round of singles and first and second rounds of consolation singles.
Sunday 10/17: Third and fourth round of doubles begins at 8 a.m., followed by fourth round of singles and quarterfinals and semifinals of consolation singles.
Monday 10/18: Semifinals of doubles begin at 9 a.m., followed by quarterfinals and semifinals of singles and the consolation singles final.
Tuesday 10/19: Doubles final begins at 9 a.m., followed by singles final.
