Women's Tennis Set to Begin ITA Regional

Players from more than 30 schools will converge on Dartmouth this weekend for the ITA Northeast Regional, a tournament that includes five players from the Princeton women's tennis team.
Freshman Katherine Flanigan will begin the tournament in the singles qualifying draw with a match against Manuela Leme of Fairleigh Dickinson at 9 a.m. Friday. If Flanigan wins, she will have a 12:45 p.m. match Friday against either Rocio Portela of Seton Hall or Nikita Austin of St. John's for a berth in the main draw.
Already in the main draw are Hilary Bartlett, Taylor Marable, Rachel Saiontz and Monica Chow. All four are seeded, with Bartlett getting a No. 1 seed, Saiontz a No. 11 and Marable and Chow each a No. 17. All four also received byes into the round of 64 and will likely play Saturday at a time to be determined.
The four Tigers already in the main draw are also in pairs for the doubles main draw, where Bartlett and Marable, a No. 1 seed, will face Daniela DePaoli and Stephanie Do of Penn and No. 9 seed Chow and Saiontz will face Christine Ordway and Ryan Young of Cornell, both likely Saturday.
