Bartlett, Marable Open Play at ITA All-America

PRINCETON -- Taylor Marable and Hilary Bartlett opened play Thursday at the ITA All-America tournament at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, falling in both main-draw matches.
The pair began Thursday's 32-team main-draw doubles tournament with an 8-6 loss to Morgan Frank and Nazari Urbina of Texas A&M, the 45th-ranked duo on the ITA's preseason list. Bartlett and Marable were ranked eighth in the preseason.
In the 32-player main-draw singles competition, Bartlett, the 49th-ranked player in the nation in the ITA's preseason rankings, fell to 10th-ranked Nina Secerbegovic of Baylor, 6-4, 6-4.
Bartlett and Marable will face 12th-ranked Lindsey Hardenbergh and Erin Vierra of Virginia at 1:45 p.m. Eastern Time Friday in a consolation doubles match. Consolation singles information has not yet been announced.
