Men's Soccer Reaches No. 11 National Ranking

PRINCETON, N.J. (11/10/10) - The Princeton men's soccer team is ranked No. 11 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) National Poll. The Tigers jumped five spots from No. 16 last week after defeating No. 13 Penn 2-1 on Saturday, Nov. 6
The Tigers are ranked No. 13 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll, No. 16 in the College Soccer News poll and No. 17 in the Soccer America poll, the highest rankings all season.
Princeton moved up seven spots in the NCAA RPI to 20th this week. The Tigers were 27th one week ago but now lead all Ivies with Penn 21st and Brown 24th. The RPI is the most important of the criteria the NCAA uses to determine the 48-team field for the NCAA Tournament. The RPI is a mathematical formula designed to objectively compare results and strength of schedule.
The NCAA Selection Show will be aired live on ESPNU on Monday, Nov. 15 between 4:30-5 p.m.
