Men's Water Polo Team Closes 2010 Season with Win

After an even first quarter that saw both teams scored twice, Princeton built its lead over the second and third quarters, outscoring by a goal in each. The Tigers then held off Bucknell in the final period as the Bison scored three times to Princeton's two goals.
Tim Wenzlau led all scorers in the game with three for the Tigers, while Matt Hale and Mike Helou each scored two goals. Kurt Buchbinder added a single goal and Mike Merlone made nine saves in the cage.
Princeton completes the season with a 19-7 record. The Tigers finished second in Southern Division's regular season, but won the Southern Championship two weeks ago. Princeton placed third at Easterns after a semifinal loss to Navy.
Following the championship game, which St. Francis won 8-4 over Navy, Hale and Tommy Donahue were named to the second All-Tournament team.
